Texas Real Estate Salesperson Exam Prep Courses
Texas Licensing Requirements are Changing
The educational requirements for Texas Real Estate Salespersons are changing September 1, 2012. If your application is not officially received by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) before September 1, 2012, an additional 60 classroom hours (4 semester hours) of prescribed core real estate courses will be required.
TREC will require an applicant for a salesperson license to complete at least 180 classroom hours (12 semester hour) of core education consisting of the course required under current law:
- 60 classroom hours (4 semester hours) in Real Estate Principles
- 30 classroom hours (2 semester hours) in Agency Law
- 30 classroom hours (2 semester hours) in Contract Law
In addition, TREC will require the following NEW core education courses:
- 30 classroom hours (2 semester hours) in Promulgated Contract Forms and Addenda
- 30 classroom hours (2 semester hours) in Real Estate Finance
The 2-day classroom exam prep course is included in the
Fastrack and Standard Licensing packages, or it can be purchased separately
below.
