NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
Eligibility: You must be a legal resident of the Fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and 18 years or older at the time of entry to enter. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and agents of Kaplan, Inc. ("Sponsor"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes (all of the foregoing, together with Sponsor, collectively referred to as “Sponsors and Administrators”), and the immediate family members (parent, sibling, child or spouse of each of the foregoing) and persons living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to participate to win.
How to Enter: To enter, complete an official entry form and place it in the box provided at a Kaplan open house on May 20 th or May 23 rd, 2007. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER OPEN HOUSE. Illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, lost, late, misdirected garbled, mutilated will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.
Conduct: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Entrants further agree to comply with and be bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; and (b) violating the Official Rules; or (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
(1) Prize Per Open House: One (1) winner per open house will receive $1,000 Kaplan Real Estate scholarship. Prize may not be transferred or assigned except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Only listed prize will be awarded and no substitutions or redemptions will be made. Expenses not specifically stated above, arising out of, or resulting from, acceptance or use of prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
Winner Selection and Notification: Potential winner will be selected in a random drawings to be held after the end of each open house, from among all eligible entries received for each open house in accordance with the entry deadlines stated in these Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received corresponding to each open house. Non-winning entries from the first open house will not be rolled over into the subsequent open house drawing. Prize drawing will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final.
Potential winner will be notified within seven days after drawing data via email, U.S. mail, telephone and/or by overnight courier. Prize winner may be required to sign, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and provide any additional information (such as social security number) that may be required by Sponsors and Administrators. Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the value of the prize. Except where prohibited by law, potential winner must return all such required documents within seven days following attempted notification or forfeit prize. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or inability of Sponsor to contact a potential winner may result in disqualification. Prize won by minor will be awarded to parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documentation.
General Conditions:
By entering, participants: (a) release and hold harmless Sponsors and Administrators, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes (including but not limited to the receipt or use or misuse of any prize or any component thereof), and except where prohibited; (b) (except where prohibited) grant to Sponsors and Administrators the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Sweepstakes.
Except where prohibited by law, a winner’s acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsors and Administrators to use such winner’s name, address (city and state only), statements, photograph, voice and/or likeness for any advertising and promotional purposes relating to the Sweepstakes without further compensation, consideration, review or consent.
