NEW Requirements!

For those applying for a license after January 1, 2006:
You will need to fulfill 60 hours of SAE in your first year of licensure. Beginning in the second year, you will need to complete 15 hours each year of Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE). To fulfill your 60 hours of SAE, we recommend that you take Blueprint for Success (#0525) plus one other 30-hour elective course.

For those licensed before January 1, 2006:
You will be under the requirement of 30 hours each year for the first 3 renewals. We offer a great selection of 30-hour elective courses to meet this requirement. We recommend that you take Blueprint for Success early in your career to build the strongest foundation.

Mandatory Continuing Education

The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) has adopted a new law regarding MCE Requirements! For your next* and subsequent license renewals after January 1, 2005, you are required to take a 3-hour legal update course and a 3-hour legal ethics course to satisfy the 6 legal hours of MCE.

*For your first MCE renewal that occurs after January 1, 2005 you may, but are not required to, complete the two 3-hour legal update and ethics courses.
