Real Estate Salesperson Education Requirements

Applicants for a real estate salesperson license must complete 90 required hours or 6 semester units of instruction in real estate principles, practices and law from an Nevada Real Estate Commission accredited provider. The course must include a minimum of 18 hours of Nevada law.

Applicants must show proof of passing the national and Nevada state exam within one year of the application date. Applicants may use their national examination results from another state but must show proof of those results.

Our recommended strategy is that you take the Fast Track Program, including the 18 Hour Nevada Law class, and our Exam Prep course before taking the Nevada Salesperson Licensing Exam.

B) Exam Locations

Psychological Systems, Inc. (PSI) administers the computerized Nevada Real Estate Broker Licensing Exam at the following Nevada locations:

N LAS VEGAS, Nevada	3210 E TROPICANA AVE	From I-15, exit East on Tropicana. Turn left on Mojave. Turn right into the parking lot. From I-98, exit West on Tropicana. Turn right on Mojave. Turn right into the parking lot. From I-215, exit at Mccarran Airport. Go through airport tunnel. Take the airport bypass towards Swenson Street. Turn right on Tropicana. Turn left on Mojave. Turn right into parking lot.
ELKO, Nevada	225 SILVER ST, SUITE 100	From I-80, take the Mountain City exit towards downtown Elko, exit #301. Turn right on Mountain City and continue on Mountain City Highway. Continue on Silver Street until you reach the destination.

After the exam, remember to call Kaplan Professional Schools toll free at 1-800-577-0416 between 7 am and 6 pm (Pacific Standard Time) Monday through Friday to report your exam results. Or send your exam results via email to success@kpsnevada.com.

An applicant for a Nevada Real Estate Salesperson license must:

Be at least 18 years old.
Proof of pre-licensing education by transcripts, certificates, or licensing history:
a) 45 hours or 3 college credits Real Estate Principles.
b) 45 hours or 3 college credits Real Estate Law (must include 18 hours Nevada law).
c) Pre-licensing education from another state may be accepted.
Application must be notarized and completed by applicant (form #549).
Two fingerprint cards processed by a government or law enforcement agency, within the last year.
Original exam results:
a) Pass Nevada State exam within last 12 months.
b) Pass national exam (from any state) within last 12 months.
