Required Education [Back to Top]

First Renewal
Brokers are required to complete 45 hours of DRE-approved continuing education every four years.

If you are a broker in your first 4 years of licensure and have not yet completed the "Quad" (four 3-hour courses covering Agency, Ethics and Professional Conduct, Trust Fund Handling, and Fair Housing), make sure you complete the four 3-hour courses as part of your 45 hours of continuing education. For your remaining hours, we offer a variety of great home study courses.

If you have completed the "Quad", then you will only need to complete a six hour Survey course on Agency, Ethics and Professional Conduct, Trust Fund Handling, and Fair Housing as part of your 45 hours of continuing education. For your remaining hours, we offer a variety of great home study courses.

Second Renewal and Subsequent Renewals
This renewal requires you to complete 45 hours of continuing education every four years to keep your license current. The 45 hours must include at least six hours covering the topics of Agency, Ethics and Professional Conduct, Trust Fund Handling, and Fair Housing. You can satisfy this requirement with Anthony Schools’ six-hour Survey course. For your remaining hours, we offer a variety of great home study courses.
